Presiding Bishop to address congregational leaders in the Minneapolis Area and Saint Paul Area Synods
On Oct.15, you are invited to join Presiding Bishop Mark Hanson at Luther Seminary in St. Paul for Fueling our Missional Fire. Hanson will speak on the mission of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA)--what we do, why it is important, and how deeply we reach into communities in this country and around the globe. Lay and clergy leaders and congregational members are invited to attend.
This event kicks off the synod's Fall Stewardship Series. (Fanning the Flames of Mission will be held Oct. 27 at Roseville Lutheran, Roseville.) In addition, the 16 congregations who made up the pilot group of the Macedonia Project will be celebrating its completion at this event.

Summer office schedule
For six weeks each summer, the synod office closes at noon on Fridays. The summer schedule started on Jul. 6 and will run through Aug.10. In addition, staff sabbaticals and transitions this summer mean that some days the office is thinly staffed. Please check in before you stop by, and be mindful of the construction on University Ave.
