UK-israel academic ties strengthened
We are delighted to announce the results of the first Britain-Israel Research and Academic Exchange scheme. 15 projects have been selected to receive grants totaling £365,000. Teams from British and Israeli universities will use the funds to carry out joint scientific research.

We are looking for ambitious graduates with a proven track record to apply for the prestigious Chevening Award. The scholarship is awarded to young people with leadership potential to study for up to one year in the UK.

clore language centre dedication
Dame Vivien Duffield, chair of the Clore Foundation, will visit Ort Helmi Shafie School in Akko to see the cutting edge centre which is part of the Clore English Language Learning Centre project. Dame Vivien will meet teachers and students as well as teacher trainers from the British Council and Hebrew University and formally dedicate the centre. For more information

Israeli orchestra Barrocade has collaborated with Retrospect Ensemble from the UK to perform Henry Pucell's Fairy Queen, with conductor Matthew Hall. Soloists from Retrospect will give master classes to Jerusalem Academy of Music and Drama students. Visit supported by BIARTS

design for change
British Designer Magnus Larsson will participate in Design for Change: 6 Conversations at the Israel Museum. Six designers will discuss how innovative ideas can make our lives more enjoyable and sustainable. Larsson will also lead a workshop with Bezalel Academy students. Visit supported by BIARTS.
