| Greetings!
Those of you who have known me for any length of time know that I love to golf. I was fortunate to be able to spend the last several days of September in Sunriver, Oregon golfing and relaxing in 80 plus degree weather.
My return home came right as our weather here turned cold, gray and windy. Well, I have definitely switched gears and am looking forward to fall and winter. The holidays will be here before we know it and I'm excited about the organizing seminar I have planned for later this month. My hope for all is that we will go into the season feeling joyful and confident in our planning and approach to this very busy time of year. See the right side of the newsletter for details and please join me on the 25th for an informative and fun hour.
Have a great October!
Donna

Organizers Corner
Give yourself a gift....
Every day we pick up our newspaper or turn on the T.V. and the top story is our national financial crisis. Every where we turn prices are going up and there seems to be no end in sight.
Being organized myself, and an Organizing Professional, I see first hand how becoming organized will ease some of that stress. Of course it doesn't solve a national crisis or make the news any easier to cope with. However, personally, it is something we can do for ourselves and our families that will save us time and money, and make our homes more peaceful and productive. How? Ever gone out and bought something for your food pantry or office only to come home and find (in some obscure place) that you already had that item? How much time do you spend each day looking for something you know you have, but don't know where it is? How does that feel (especially if you are jammed for time and need the item immediately)?
Becoming organized does take time. However, once systems are in place they should be easily maintained with just a few minutes a day. When everything has a home you will know right where to locate something. The time and money you save can be used to do the things you love with the people you love. That's a great gift to give yourself!

Countertop Untensil Holder
If you have limited drawer space in your kitchen this is a great item to have. Holds your wooden spoons, spatulas, tongs and other items. Keeps those cooking utensils you use frequently right at your fingertips and relieves space issues if kitchen drawers are few or small. I am not big on keeping a lot of items on kitchen countertops but this one I love. Utensil bins are not expensive, can be metal or stoneware, and can be found at kitchen stores or Linens N Things.

| October Organizing Tip |
|
If you are buying paper napkins and/or plates for entertaining at Thanksgiving consider buying solid colors in hues of red or green that will carry over to December.
You will be able to use them all and not have those few left over that never seem to get used and and wind up cluttering our cupboards. |
