Nationally acclaimed exhibit Choosing to Participate
|
In October the Nationally acclaimed Facing History and
Ourselves' Choosing to Participate exhibit opened at the Western Reserve Historical Society. It will run from October 22, 2009 to
February 26, 2010 and we are thrilled to announce that Restore Cleveland Hope
will be represented. Our president Joan Southgate is one
of the Upstanders chosen to tell the story of Cleveland's activism.
Facing History and Ourselves describes Upstanders as "someone who has
taken action on behalf of others. Each day our friends, neighbors and family
members make decisions, large and small, that help create positive change in
our world." Like all those involved in
the Underground Railroad, we also are about the business of 'changing the
world' by restoring Cleveland
hope.
Upstander Video Clip Joan is right at the 2:48 minute mark.
Watch the whole video it's only 4 minutes long.
