We have almost said goodbye to summer, but have been blessed with fabulous weather as we move towards the Fall.

This townhouse was given a facelift! The old carpet was replaced with a nice neutral, which brought instant coziness. The pale yellow walls were painted with one of my favourite Benjamin Moore colours (CC-110 Muslin Zen). We removed the beige drapery panels & left the more contemporary blinds, which blended nicely with the modern furniture & artwork. The space was now bright, clean and appealing to the False Creek lifestyle that people expect.

Tip of the Month
"Updating the Kitchen"
You don't have to spend a fortune to give a dated a kitchen an updated look & feel.
We brightened the walls with a fresh coat of paint, added brushed nickel handles to the cupboards & replaced the tired appliances with black Whirlpool appliances. Finishing off with pretty accessories & some art, the kitchen was much more appealing.

Go Green with Flooring

Considering engineered hardwood flooring? Some of the latest products now have low V.O.C.'s and low levels of formaldehyde.
If you are gluing down the flooring, try a product called Bostik TKO (urethane adhesive). This product contains no chlorinated solvents or ozone depleting chemicals and is V.O.C. compliant.
Go green, buy Canadian. Canada reharvests trees and there is an abundance of the following; Oak, Maple, Birch & Ash. These trees come from the eastern part of the country & therefore providing much less carbon through transportation vs coming from other parts of the world.
Bamboo is fabulous, it is known for it's strength, hardness & growth rate. Bamboo is an environmentally friendly, rapidly renewable resource & capturing interest worldwide. It can be harvested & replenished with no impact on the environment. Bamboo is also hypoallergenic & non-pollutant.
