What Samples?
There will be Pure Sugo Arrosto Pasta Sauce and Olivetta Sicilian Olive Mix from That's a Nice as well as Traditional Callabrese Meatballs and Biscotti from Porta Mangiare.
The Pure Sugo Arrosto Pasta Sauce is made with roasted garlic and peppers. It is an original healthy organic blend of locally grown tomatoes, roasted peppers, roasted garlic and spices creating a perfect sauce. Serve over pasta, chicken, fish or make a healthy pizza!
The Olivetta Sicilian Olive Mix is an unique blend of olives and spices creating a perfect versatile mix. It's great for making sandwiches, over crackers for an appetizer or use as a perfect compliment to salads.
The Traditional Callabrese Meatballs are started by baking three different artisan breads using the traditional, slow-rise method over two days. Then they dry and coarsely crumb the bread and blend in the perfect combination of herbs and spices for a truley Southern Italian flavor.
The Biscotti Mix is easy and delicious and you can always make it exactly how you'd like - add chopped nuts, chocolate bits or dried fruit. Yum!
A little something savory - a little something sweet. |

A Little Bit of Who They Are...
"With a background in the food service industry, I've had a life-long passion for creating great food and discovering new tastes. We created Porta Mangiare Foods in order to focus on preserving and recreating some of the simple but wonderful foods that my ancestors brought with them from the small villages in Calabria, in the South of Italy. As a second-generation American, Sunday dinners at Grandma's house were a part of our culture. She typically spent all day in the kitchen making mounds of mouth-watering food for a crowd. The aromas in the kitchen and the flavors of the dishes were common back then to most families in the Italian neighborhood where we grew up, but not so today. So we developed a line of mixes that make it convenient to recreate these same aromas and flavors at home, without spending the whole day in the kitchen."
"In 1952, a Sicilian-American family
opened the first
restaurant to introduce Southern-Italian foods to Louisiana. These
new tastes from the old world grew popular throughout the years and
made
our family company famous. We are proud to build the company's
foundation with the original recipes that were introduced over half a
century ago. For the new era, we have added a contemporary cachet
that blends modern with traditional flavors. As we grow, we are
committed to developing new delicious products based on traditional
recipes, and providing specialty gourmet southern Italian foods and
gifts of the finest quality. That's A Nice! corporate headquarters
is based in Los Angeles, CA. All our products are made from
the freshest ingredients and mixed with the best spices to create
unique
and traditional flavors."
