For Medical Office Staff
The Cooperative of American Physicians, Inc. is pleased to announce the launch of its new online risk management education program created especially for medical office staff.
"We recognize that physicians rely heavily on their office staff to manage many important functions in our members' offices," said Waldene Drake, vice president, Risk Management & Patient Safety. "Experience has demonstrated that they also have a significant influence over both patient safety and patient satisfaction. This is why we created the Risk Management Institute
©."
The six training sessions included in the Risk Management Institute
© address the questions most frequently asked by callers to our member hotline. The 20-25 minute sessions that comprise the Risk Management Institute
© contain California-specific curriculum, and address the following topics:
Session 1 -- Informed Consent
Session 2 -- Medication Management
Session 3 -- Effective Office Communication
Session 4 -- Patient Education
Session 5 -- Tracking and Recall
Session 6 -- Medical Record Management
The entire program is available to CAP members' office staff through the CAP website. The only requirement is that your office manager/representative first registers each person on your staff who will access the training.
