THE HARVEST IS MINE!

Do not say, 'four months more and then the harvest.' But I tell you, look around you, and see how the fields are ripe for harvesting.  John 4:35

It is common to believe that harvests are always for someone else to experience.  It was a Jewish saying, 'Four more months and then the harvest.'  But Jesus was quick to point out, as He stood smack in the middle in Samaritan territory, that the harvest was upon them.  The town of Sychar was about to the hear the electrifying account of the Samaritan woman's encounter with Jesus and her testimony would bring the town to salvation.  If the disciples were waiting to experience some mythical harvest down the road, they would miss the one right in front of their eyes.
These are the days of harvest.  Right now.  In these end times (I believe), God is pouring out His favor on His servants who are walking prayerfully and who are wholeheartedly focused on the kingdom.  He is touching latent gifts and bringing them out of obscurity into the light.  It is time to wake up out of sleep, to shake our heads out of daydreaming, and dream big things for the glory of God.
If I could bring each of you to the last few Daughters of Promise Events, you would have seen more women at the altar than remained in their seats.  I watch and weep with joy for the harvest.  I am embarrassed to say that I was initially stunned, not expectant.  No more.  I'm about to embark on a weekend in Maine and I know, already in my spirit, the outcome.
The harvest is upon us.  Look for every place where you have faithfully sown seeds over these many years.  With concerted prayer and a resulting well-timed spoken word of faith, God is ready to water what has been sown.  The rains of heaven are like spring showers, relentless and soaking.  We no longer see chutes of green, but ripened fruit falling off the vines.
I'm seeing it in my family, in my church, in my ministry.  Many of you are too.  Oh, that belief may reach every heart that reads this today.  Turn off the TV, turn aside from endless chatter over lunches with shallow friends, and dig into the rich soil of the fields ready to be harvested.

I see them coming.  The fruit - ready to come, yield to You, and burn brightly in these last hours.  I look for them today.  In Jesus name, Amen
