Sludge Survey for 2009 - Beware of Misinformation! We received a notification this week from the Division of Water Quality that a company has sent a letter out to swine farms telling them that they have to do their 2009 sludge survey by the end of the current permit which is September 30. Please note, that this is not correct. The survey is an annual requirement, so they have until the end of the year, just like any other year. The permit expiration or the new permit becoming effective October 1 has nothing to do with the annual sludge survey. If you have any additional questions regarding this issue, it is suggested that you contact your DWQ regional office. |
