An alert citizen in Corsicana, Texas, summoned police after being offered $500 by two men in exchange for a ride out town, according to the Corsicana Daily Sun on Sept. 29. The Navarro County Sheriff's Department then arrested two men on suspicion of copper theft from a cell-phone tower. MORE

Clearwire Eyes New Funding, Maybe New Partner
Clearwire, the patron saint of WiMax, is looking for more funding. It's not clear, though, from whom. The next funding round may be a combination of debt and equity from T-Mobile USA, according to Reuters. MORE
