Wideband Discone Antenna
Telewave has introduced the ANT280S Wideband Discone antenna, which features a frequency range from 132 MHz to 3 GHz, 1.5:1 VSWR and 500 watts continuous power. The antenna is provided with a 3-foot pigtail designed to connect directly to a single multiband radio, and many optional coupling and filtering devices are available to support multiple radios. The ANT280S weighs only 10 pounds and is fully coated with Txylan coating to withstand severe environments. The antenna is light enough for tactical deployment, but its welded construction makes it strong enough for permanent mounting on a tower or a roof. www.telewave.com
AndrewSmall Microwave Antenna
Andrew Solutions division has launched the ValuLine 1-meter microwave backhaul antenna, which features an electrical design that enables radiation pattern performance and power gain levels similar to 1.2-meter antennas. The antenna features greater signal amplification and less possibility for interference in a backhaul network. The antenna's  size and design translate into lower freight and storage costs, less tower loading, lower tower leasing costs and easier installation. The mount design gives unencumbered access to the rear of the antenna, enabling radio equipment and waveguide cable installation. www.andrew.com
