For Broadcasters, It's Now a Digital, Digital (and a Little Analog) World
More than 800 stations terminated analog service before last Friday and almost 1,000 more were expected to throw the switch on NTSC programming on the June 12 deadline, according to FCC estimates. Almost 100 of those stations have agreed to broadcast analog emergency and digital transition information for 30 days. A small number of stations, 31, were expected to go dark.  MORE

Ark. Tower Climber Killed in Fall From Tower in Miss.
An Arkansas man died after falling 200 feet from the top of a cell phone tower in Leland, Miss., according to the Delta Democrat Times. Shane Dushen, 28, was wearing a harness when he fell from the tower. A coworker said that Dushen was chatting with him after finishing lunch when the mishap occurred. An autopsy is scheduled.
