Perhaps the "D" in DTV Stands for Delay, Congress Backpedals on Transition From Analog TV
AT&T and Verizon Wireless, who won spectrum at auction to be freed up by the digital TV transition, have said the congressionally-imposed delay from Feb.17 to June 12 of the digital TV transition would not hurt their plans to use the spectrum for their own advanced wireless products, according to the Washington Post. Property Improvements Okayed for Illinois Church
In Arlington, Ill., a church won approval for placement of T-Mobile base station antennas in a modified steeple, over the protest representated by a petition signed by 140 neighbors who live in 114 homes. Referring to FCC guidelines, a trustee for the Arlington Village Board said, "Clearly, the information presented by the administration is there's no health hazard, and we've approved these things elsewhere."
