Federal Court Smiles on Local Cell Tower Regulation The U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled that cities and counties can regulate the location and appearance of wireless towers and poles. The decision appeared to reverse a judgment by federal court in 2001 where it ruled against a local ordinance for restricting telecommunications provision, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. Just Say No to Drugs -- and Stealing Cell Tower Copper A man and his fiancé, who stole copper from cell phone towers and caused thousands of dollars of damage, have been sentenced to federal prison, according to the Virginian-Pilot.
