Tower Industry Suffers Two More Fatalities in May In two separate instances, the number of technicians falling from towers in 2008 grew to seven as two workers fell to their deaths in May. The most recent death was a man who fell on May 22 while working on the Channel 7 WSVN tower in North Miami, FL, according to the Miami Herald. On May 16, a 25-year-old Alabama man, Jonathon Guilford, became the nation's sixth victim of fatal injuries from a fall from a telecommunications tower when he fell an estimated 100 to 130 feet from a tower in Haubstadt, IN.
