Two months and two days after Edwin G. Foulke Jr., who heads the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) told an audience to reduce fatalities to zero, at the National Association of Tower Erectors (NATE), Charles Lupton fell 150 feet to his death. Biby to Speak at Ohio Wireless Association Event
Rich Biby, publisher of AGL Magazine, will speak at the Ohio Wireless Association's Q2 Educational Seminar and Social Event on May 15 at the Embassy Suites in Dublin, OH.  Biby will speak on the proposed 8 hour battery back-up standards for cell sites and new AM detuning standards impact on carriers and tower owners.

Mokan GroupConcealment Technology Pros and Cons
Speaking to a luncheon audience at a meeting of the MoKan Wireless Association in Lenexa, KS, a concealment product manufacturing company CEO and a land use attorney offered their views of the pros and cons of concealment technology.
 
The speakers were Sean McLernon, CEO of Charleston, SC-based Stealth Concealment Solutions, and Curtis M. Holland, esq., an attorney focusing on zoning, land use and real estate development with the Overland Park, KS, office of Polsinelli Shalton Flanigan Seulthaus P.C.

McLernon said that if his company is involved in an antenna site project early, its efforts "can make a world of difference. There are better economies to be had if we know the project is coming. Until now, concealment has been an afterthought, like life insurance. Everybody has to have it, but if you ignore it until the last minute, it may cost you more than you want," he said. MORE
