GOODBYE, MATE

We tend to have a lot of fun around here, but the hardest days always come when we have to bid farewell to some of our favorite drinks. This month, we reluctantly say goodbye to three of our Honest Mate varieties: Tropical Mate, Maqui Berry Mate and Agave Mate.  We loved these varieties, but they just didn't sell well enough to justify their place on the shelf. We'll continue to offer Sublime Mate as part of the Honest Tea glass line. Meet Kevin of Portland, OR, who discovered Honest Tea in his search for a hydrating, mildly caffeinated beverage for his wildland firefighting company employees when they are out on assignment.

"As acting engine boss, I normally go out on my days off to re-stock our food and drink supply, and the main request I got from my crew last season was 'Don't forget to grab lots of Honest Tea!' We cannot drink alcohol or heavily caffeinated beverages while we are out on a fire, so when we realized we could bring Honest Tea out there with us our spirits lifted. An ice cold Honest Tea fresh out of the cooler tastes like heaven after a 16-hour shift in 100 degree heat, so we began keeping our engines and equipment transportation vehicles stocked with cases of the Mango Green Tea, the Peach White Tea, and the Lemon Black Tea.  The Avon Walk for Breast Cancer - Boston

Join Honest Tea for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer May 15-16. In a town made for walking, it's a perfect way to experience Boston's historic winding and narrow streets, the shores of its famous harbor, and the vibrant neighborhoods that make the city so unique.

Participants will walk up to 26.2 miles on Saturday, and 13.1 miles on Sunday-all so that women and men can get the medical care they need regardless of their ability to pay, and leading research teams can receive vital support in their ongoing search for a cure for breast cancer.
