We'd like to give a rousing welcome to the 2010 Honest Tea Road Warriors, our vivacious summer interns! This year, we have a record-breaking 46 interns hitting the streets (which is more people than we had in our entire company in 2007)!  The team spent two days "steeped" in Honest Tea history learning the ins and outs of the brand and drinking LOTS of organic tea and thirst quenchers. From New Hampshire to New York, and all the way down to Miami, FL, the East Coast warriors came to our eco-friendly headquarters in Bethesda to get ready for one of Honest Tea's biggest summers yet! Interns from Seattle to Austin all gathered together in San Francisco to tackle the West Coast.  Be sure to keep an eye out for them sampling at festivals, concerts, sporting events and stores throughout summer! With summer rolling in, along comes the picnics, barbecues, and outdoor sporting events, also comes the need to protect your skin from the sun's UV rays, which can cause skin damage and even skin cancer. Fortunately, scientists funded by the National Foundation for Cancer Research have recently found evidence that two of the flavonoids found in green tea, catechin and epicatechin, are good for the skin in two important ways. First, they increase skin density and hydration, which may help improve overall skin tone (yay!). Second, they significantly reduce skin damage caused by UV radiation -- damage which can lead to skin cancer. Early research indicates that anywhere from one to four cups a day, particularly of green or black tea, is a good preventive dose.  So slather up with sunscreen and grab an iced Honey Green or Moroccan Mint to enjoy better skin health!  Click here to learn more!
