WELCOME HONEST MATE

Building on the success of Sublime Mate, which we introduced in 2007, we are launching our own line of organic mate (MAH-tay) drinks, Honest Mate. Sublime will be joined by Agave Mate and Tropical Mate. Enjoyed for centuries throughout South America and known for its superior health benefits, yerba mate is traditionally passed around in a gourd and shared by close friends. High in antioxidants and low in sugar and calories, Honest Mate is brewed with USDA certified organic unsmoked mate that is grown on a family farm in Argentina using environmentally sound farming methods. HONEST KIDS "NAME OUR APPLE DRINK POUCH" CONTEST

 This spring, we're introducing a new apple variety of our delicious, low sugar organic Honest Kids drink pouches. It tastes really refreshing and light, just like freshly-picked apples! Now we need to come up with a fun, really "a-peelin'" name for it. We're looking for your snappiest, happiest, most creative names that describe the awesome apple taste inside each pouch. Anyone* can enter ideas by clicking here, but hurry because the contest ends March 20, 2009. After that, we'll select 10 finalists and one "Ultimate Honest Kid," whose winning entry may appear on our apple Honest Kids pouches. Now honestly, who better to name the new apple variety of Honest Kids than real honest kids, and kids at heart?

We love that TV commercial where the guy takes photos of a stuffed animal as he travels the country and sends them to his family. As you can see, we've been documenting our own travels as we criss-cross the country to set up expanded distribution. Over the next few months, be on the lookout for Honest Tea and Honest Ade to start appearing on more shelves in Utah, Colorado, Nevada, Arizona, Idaho and throughout New England, from Maine to Connecticut.

HONEST CONSUMER OF THE MONTH

Almost from the day Honest Tea began selling organic bottled tea, enthusiastic consumers have been sharing their experiences with us - and we love it! Your letters, postcards, phone calls and e-mails make us smile (most of the time!).
This month's winners are... lovebirds Randi and Jonathan, who have been on a quest to find our organic Lemon Black tea in the Marblehead, MA area.
Randi wrote in and told us how her fiancé discovered Honest Tea after deciding to kick his soda habit. Most customers love Lemon Black for the tea's smoothness, the refreshing twist of lemon, or the fact that it's made with Fair Trade certified tea leaves, but Jonathan has an additional reason: he loves that his favorite tea company is in his home state Maryland. In her e-mail, Randi explained how they scour local store shelves to find all of the Lemon Black they can get their hands on: "...we have been going from store to store buying up their entire stock of the tea, including what might be hiding in the back room. Some stores buy an extra crate just for us every time they get a new shipment." Now that's dedication! Congratulations Randi and Jonathan, we hope the case we send you postpones your next Honest treasure hunt a little longer.

It's Honest Tea in Rio! Our co-founder Barry Nalebuff traveled all the way to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil with a vintage bottle of our Pomegranate White Tea with Açaí.
