Hello ,
Welcome to Fall! Well the weather has been what we would have liked to see during the summer months, but let's not complain because the rain will be here soon enough.
I have added stats on condos for the Eastside and Seattle. I am getting lots of calls asking about that market. Please read the comments and share your views, I'd love to hear them.
Also, I hope you like the article on creating a wine celler. Wine is enjoying a huge popularity and building a collection is fun.
Don't forget The Artful Open House on Sunday, Sept 21st. We'd love to share the art, brunch and wine with you. As our gift this month, we'd love to give you a bottle of the Tulip Valley wine we are serving at the open. Enjoy!
Yours truly, Patricia Wangsness

Market News: What's going on in YOUR Neighborhood?
Here are the September '08 statistics compiled from the NWMLS sales from homes under $10,000,000.

Want more information on your specific neighborhood?
We are updating the statistics every month and based on popular demand, I am including the condominium markets in Seattle, Bellevue and Kirkland. We have seen a delay in some projects, this is clearly because of the increased inventory. It will be very interesting to see how these figures change over the next few months.
Have you noticed the difference in the average list price and the average sale price? What does this mean to you? I'm curious about what you are feeling about the market. I hope you can join the conference call, we will give you our perspective. |
Nurture Your Inner Oenophile:
A wine cellar is a great way to store your collection-and a beautiful enhancement to your home.
Article Contributed by Dwight Martin, President, D.K. Martin Construction.
Washington is a wonderful place to enjoy wine. Our local vintners and distributors hold tastings and tours, which is a fun way to learn about wines and decide what you like.
Once you find a nice wine it is great to have several bottles or a case on hand-but this kind of hobby can quickly grow into a 100-bottle collection. So what are the options for cellaring your purchase? There is an array of storage choices available, ranging from a small cooler to a basement tasting room and display area.
