Greetings!
Well the summer is over but the weather for September has been great. Let's hope that it bodes well for our fall and winter. The focus has turned to school, football, soccer and cooler weather. I hope that you take time to enjoy our fall because before we know it, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas are just a short time away! Yours truly,
Patricia Wangsness

Do you just follow the crowd?
I don't just follow the crowd!
More real estate is sold through momentum marketing-or "follow the crowd" marketing than any other phenomenon I know.
For example, have you ever seen a brand new condo project enter the market and the opening sells out? Why is this? The reason is that people feel safety in numbers. Everyone else can't be wrong, right? Plus, sneaky marketers make the project sound as if time is running out to buy and that prices will never be this low.
A recent news segment on ABC's Nightline profiled two people who invested in Miami condominiums that were sold at "pre-construction" prices that would supposedly be lower than the value when completed. Both were shocked to learn that the condos-now almost complete-are worth much less than they paid for them. The demand dropped in the intervening two years of construction and both of these people took a huge loss.

On a Personal Note...
You may not know that our beloved 13 year old lab, Striker, has gone to the great doggie beyond recently. He was a great dog and worked hard to guard us, please us and keep our other lab, Maki, from getting too many biscuits. While we are sad to be without him, life goes on. Thank you for your kind thoughts, they still bring tears to our eyes. But no, we aren't getting another puppy right away, we need to catch up on our sleep first! | |
