If Your Walls Could Talk
You don't have to have X-Ray vision to know what is behind the walls of a house you own or are considering buying, you just have to find a home inspector with a thermal imaging camera. As a RealtorŪ that loves technology and uses it to help my clients, I often call Dennis Johnson of Home Equity consulting to use his thermal imaging camera to tell my clients what is behind the walls. Dennis' thermal (infra-red spectrum) camera allows him to see small temperature differences in the surface structures inside or outside a home. A temperature variance may indicate missing insulation or moisture trapped behind the walls from a leaky roof or siding.
