Empire's Meet & Greet Luncheon Was A Big Hit!

Our First Annual Meet & Greet Luncheon - held on November 2nd in Hicksville, NY - has come and gone, and we couldn't have been happier with the results! Vendors, bakers and industry guests alike had a chance to get together and chat in an open, casual environment. It was a great opportunity for all to make new contacts,  reconnect with old ones, or even just catch up with friends and colleagues. We ate some good food, gave away some great prizes, and most of all, had a lot of fun!

Thank you to all of the guests in attendance that helped to make this event such a big success! Our special appreciation goes out to all of the vendors who showed support by attending, donating or both. Coming together to support the industry is what this event was all about - and we couldn't have done it without all of you!

Last, but certainly not least, we just wanted to give an extra special "Thank You" to Steve LiCastri and his team for the outstanding job they did in our kitchen and the fantastic pizza they produced! Bellissimo!

We look forward to seeing you all again next year!

Customer Spotlight: Salvatore Settepani

Congrats to Sal for winning the Food Network Sugar Challenge!

Salvatore Settepani, the 24-year-old pastry chef and co-owner of Pasticceria Bruno in West Brighton, took home the grand prize on Food Network's Sugar Adventures Challenge, which aired in October.

Salvatore, who worked alongside his dad, Biagio Settepani, created a five-and-a-half-foot abstract sugar sculpture based on the novel "Journey to the Center of the Earth.". The judges were impressed at how well the father and son team worked together, but in the end, it was Sal's awe inspiring design that truely wowed them.
