Massage Therapist: Joy of Raphael
More, and more people are turning to massage therapy for more than just relaxation. Massage has shown to be of great benefit to those who are looking for a way to manage pain, and or, ease the stiffness and soreness after surgery, without the use of potentially harmful and addictive narcotic pain relievers. There are two very basic categories of pain, Acute and Chronic.
Acute pains, in most circumstances, are the result of physical injury, inflammation, pain after surgery, or disease. It is our body's way of letting us know something is wrong. Acute pain is short lived, and can normally be treated.
Chronic pain is a persistent pain that lasts longer than what would be considered "normal" healing time. Massage can be of assistance to those who experience chronic pain due to ailments such as Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue, and Arthritis. Massage can ease muscular discomfort, increase range of motion, and facilitate relaxation. Relief Packs We have recently started offering Energetix' Relief Packs products at Joy of Raphael. There are two packs to choose from.
The Relief Pack for Acute Pain includes Relief Tone and InflammaForce which addresses inflammation and pain, and Healing Gel that is aloe gel based for minor skin injuries and bruising.
The Relief Pack for Chronic Pain contains ReHydration to rehydrate the body at a deeper level, Core Borage Blend which organically aids in inflammation, and BioCatalin cream for muscle aches and pains and joint support.
Combing these products with Massage will help encourage healing and general well being to those suffering from pain. If you have recently had surgery, a severe illness, or injury, please consult a physician before adding massage to your pain management regimen.
