Hello, friends!
I've got lots of exciting news to share with you! First and foremost, I finished writing my book on February 28! If you're interested in seeing what my manuscript looks like before it becomes a book, click here.
Now I am in the editing phase which means that my editor has reviewed my manuscript, made her suggested changes, and I have until April 15 to go through the manuscript and make those changes. From there, a copyeditor will extensively comb through my manuscript and check for spelling and punctuation errors. All of this takes time and most people have no idea that the average book takes approximately two years to produce, from concept to creation.
I also just learned that my editor at St. Martin's Press is leaving the company in a couple of weeks. Fortunately, I will be working with a seasoned editor named Kathryn Huck. Kathy is the former executive editor at Harper Collins and is now the executive editor at St. Martin's Press. I'm very excited to be working with her and am confident she'll help make my book the very best it can be.
And if you've been following my blog, you know that my book title has changed for the fifth (and final) time! The new title is POISED FOR SUCCESS. I love this new title and I hope you do, too.
I've been blogging about my book quite a bit and if you're interested in reading about how I organize my chapters, click here. If you want to see the mock-up of my book cover, click here.
Stay tuned because this summer, I'll be giving away advanced reading copies (ARC) of POISED FOR SUCCESS. Just subscribe to my blog or follow me on Twitter or Facebook and you could be one of the lucky ones to win an ARC, a privately released copy of the book before it is printed for mass distribution.
I hope you have a lovely Spring!
