Our fully-equipped Physical Therapy Clinic opened in May of 2007. Not only is this addition convenient for our patients, it allows Dr. Goradia and the physical therapist to easily communicate directly and more often concerning a patient's recovery, care and progress.
Mike Hathaway, DPT, ATC heads up our physical therapy department. Mike holds a BS in Nutrition and Exercise from Virginia Tech and a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Virginia Commonwealth University. Mike offers a wealth of experience in outpatient hands-on orthopedic and sports medicine physical therapy. He is currently working towards certification in Manual Therapy through the University of St. Augustine, which is a hands-on technique designed to reduce pain and restore normal function to restricted joints and associated structures surrounding the joints of the spine and extremities.
Having our physical therapy department on the premises benefits patients because we can oversee progress, facilitating a better and speedier recovery. The goal of therapy is to help reduce pain while improving joint mobility and strength, therefore restoring maximum function. |
