Greetings,
Last minute reminder: today is Dining Out for Life, a fundraiser for Food for Thought/So. Co. AIDS Food Bank. Just go out to eat at a participating restaurant and you've done your part! See article below for more info. Thanks!
* * * Among the culinary treasures in Sonoma County is the Santa Rosa Junior College Culinary Arts Training Program and Center.
They have big news--the new building that will house the program on Mendocino Ave., across from the JC, is almost complete and ready to move in! To celebrate, they're having a party at the old place, in the Brickyard Center, at 7th and B Streets, in Santa Rosa, CA, Wednesday, December 21, noon - 2:00 pm:
"Come join us for our final day at the Brickyard as we celebrate and prepare for our move to the beautiful new B. Robert Burdo Culinary Arts Center in January. At this walk-around affair, you will meet and greet our students and chef/instructors as they prepare and serve tasty savory bites paired with local wines, sweet treats and homemade eggnog. The Figgy Pudding Christmas Carolers will entertain and our talented students will display their holiday creations. It's our "final farewell" and we hope you'll stop by for some holiday cheer!" Event proceeds will provide funding for new kitchen tools and supplies.
Tickets are $25 and can be purchased online at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/212406
* * * Thanks for your support. We wish you and yours a happy holiday season, |
