| Angel Fund For a Doberman
In mid-March, a two year old male Doberman was brought to the Oklahoma City Animal Welfare Division as a confiscate/cruelty case. The animal was reported by a meter reader, who had been going into the backyard of the home and had seen the dog's horrible condition. He had clearly been severely neglected and malnourished for quite some time. Additionally, this sweet and loving boy is heartworm positive and will need to undergo treatment for that as well. |How is Jackson Doing?
Midnight Woofness
Puppies and Kitties and Fairies, oh my!
We are very happy to report that we had a HUGE success at the Midnight Woofness adoption event this past weekend...we kicked off at midnight (yes, midnight!) on late Friday night/early Saturday morning, June 5 and went through Sunday, June 6 at 5:00pm.
The Central Oklahoma Humane Society, OKC Animal Welfare Division, Red Dirt Boxer Rescue, and OK Save A Dog were out at PetSmart (S. Penn and I-240) for a 41-hour mega-adoption event. With 388 dog and cat adoptions in just 41 hours, the event beat the national PetSmart mega-adoption records for both 24 and 48 hours! A big thank you to all of the volunteers for your hard work at the event. We couldn't have done it without you! |Read More
