Need Holiday Gift Ideas?
|
The holidays are upon us, so please remember that gift donations or memorial donations to The Oklahoma Humane Society make fantastic gifts that everyone will appreciate because they help us continue our vital work to protect animals. Your friends will receive a special letter announcing the gift made on their behalf. Call 405-286-1503, or visit www.okhumane.org to make this holiday bright for all animals, and all your friends. |

OK Humane Reaches 2007 TNR Goal
|
We have reached our goal of 1,000 cats trapped, neutered and returned in our TNR program!
This TNR is a comprehensive plan where entire feral colonies are
humanely trapped, then evaluated, vaccinated, and neutered. Kittens and
cats that are tame enough will be placed up for adoption; otherwise
adult cats are returned to their familiar habitat to live out their
lives under the observant care of Colony Manager Volunteers.
We are working on setting even loftier goals for 2008. With the help of our dedicated colony managers and trapping volunteers, we are really making a difference for feral cats in Oklahoma City, and helping the OKC Animal Shelter reduce its euthanasia rates. |

Did You Know?
|
Poinsettias are not deadly to your pets! Still not a great idea for a snack, though--they can cause nausea and vomiting.

Trash = Money for OK Humane!
|
One of our fantastic volunteers is working on fundraising for OK Humane through the Cash for Critters program.
With this program, we as the organization collect empty ink jet cartridges, laser printer cartridges and digital cell phones. They pay cash for the cartridges collected - up to $4 for ink jets , up to $15 for lasers and up to $5 for digital cell phone.
If you're interested in more information, please visit their web site at: http://www.cashforcritters.com/
We will be more than happy to answer any additional questions you may have. We'll have a box here at the OK Humane office where you are welcome to drop off any of the above mentioned items and please spread the word to family, friends & co-workers. |
|
We appreciate the incredible energy and dedication of all our volunteers, trappers and foster parents. This organization could not accomplish anything without your talents and hard work. Thank you for all you do. We wish you and your loved ones a happy holiday season!
Sincerely,
Oklahoma Humane Society |
