EMERGENCY Foster Homes Needed!

We have four ladies who are in urgent need of foster homes, for various reasons.  If we cannot find foster homes for these gals, we will have to pay to board them, which is expensive and very stressful on the dog.  All these girls are ready to go to outreaches.  Could you be a short-term foster?

Lucy needs a foster home!Lucy is an 18 month old dachshund/beagle mix  being returned for pottying in the house, although she never did this in her previous foster home.  May not be good with small children.  She weighs about 20lbs and loves to run and play. She is a very, very sweet, cuddly girl.  She is ready for adoption now.  See more about Lucy

Missy needs a foster home!Missy is a 10-12 mo old fluffy black dog, possibly a schipperke mix? She loves everyone she meets and really loves car rides.  She is definitely a "people" dog.  She is working on housetraining and is doing well if watched.  She loves to play ball.  She currently has ringworm on her face and needs meds rubbed on twice daily.  She'll be ready for adoption as soon as face clears up (probably another week or so).  Missy  weighs about 20lbs.

Annie needs a foster home right away!Annie is a 10mo old basenji mix who weighs about 35-40lbs.  She is a busy girl but VERY smart.  She learns quickly and needs someone to continue her training.  She would love daily walks!  She loves her tummy rubbed and to play ball.  Annie is available for adoption now and is going to outreaches.  More on Annie

Vegas is an 18-month old Belgian Malinois.  She was adopted from PAL-OK last summer, but is being returned because her owner is a K-9 police officer and his K-9 dog has to be an only dog.  We don't have a photo yet but this is a beautiful girl who needs a temporary foster home.  She is healthy and ready to go to outreaches.

If you are able to foster any of these ladies, or have any questions, PLEASE contact Caitlin at caitlin@pal-ok.org as SOON as possible.

We Sure Need Volunteers!
One of our happy adoptive pairsWe at PAL-OK can't do everything we do to help the animals without the help of volunteers.  Right now we have a dedicated group of loyal volunteers, but it is a very SMALL group!  We need your help to grow our rescue so we can help more animals.  Even if you can't foster or attend outreaches, even if you are allergic to animals, there are ways you can help!  Please, please click here to see a list of the many ways PAL-OK can use your assistance.

If you would like to help in any of these ways, please fill out an application to volunteer, or email info@pal-ok.org and we'll get you set up!
Where Are You?
Please bring your foster to outreaches! We sure have missed seeing some of our foster dogs at the weekly adoption outreaches. It's vacation time and summer activities can keep us all busy. If you can't make it to the Saturday outreach each week, please respond to the weekly e-mail from the captain anyway and let them know you will not be there and when your dog or dogs might be able to come again.
If your foster pet is not on Petfinder yet, you're also missing another opportunity for people to see your pet and possibly adopt him or her. Just fill out this simple form and we'll get your foster dog or cat on Petfinder.com!
Don't know when the next outreach is?   You can always find the next outreach on our home page at www.pal-ok.org, or follow this schedule:
First Saturday of the month: PetsMart @ Rockwell & NW Expwy
Second Saturday: Petsmart in Edmond on Broadway Extension
Third Saturday: Petsmart at NW 63rd & May
Fourth Saturday: Petsmart in Edmond on Broadway Extension

Fish City Grill Fundraiser Nets a Great CATCH for PAL-OK!
Fish City GrillOn July 3, 2007, Fish City Grill in Edmond donated 15% of proceeds to PAL-OK! We were warmly welcomed by their friendly staff and enjoyed seeing family and friends who stopped by all day long to have a meal and support PAL-OK!  The food was great and we're happy to report that Fish City Grill was able to give us $600 from the day's proceeds: one of the best donations they have EVER made! Thanks to all our PAL-OK friends who came and shared a meal with us; your support was invaluable in making this event a success.  The food is great and the staff is amazing; stop by the restaurant and thank them for us!
