Don't Leave Home Without It!
Please tag your pets and foster pets!

PAL has purchased 500 tags to be put on the collars of all of our foster dogs. The captain or captains of each outreach will have a supply of tags and collars, if your dog does not have one, and they will be asked to be sure each pet at the outreach has a collar and a tag. Even if your foster dog has a rabies tag, we want him or her to have a PAL tag on also. We ask that all captains please assign someone at the outreach to check each pet or do it yourself. We had one dog return to us twice, thanks to the tag she was wearing. Ask the adopter if they want the collar and tag the pet is wearing or if they want to purchase a new collar and make a tag for the pet at Petsmart. Don't let the pet leave the outreach without one or the other on the pet's neck! If they want to purchase a new collar and tag, hold the pet until they come back with it.
PAL-OK Garage Sale a HUGE Success, Thanks to YOU!
PAL-OK Garage Sale 2007The PAL-OK Garage sale, held June 1-3, was an enormous success and raised more than $1200 for pets in Oklahoma City!  This would not have been possible without the help of volunteers who helped with the event (special thanks to Lynn Garman for letting us use her garage!) and most importantly, those of you who donated items!  We had so many terrific things to sell, and this money will really make a difference.  We know we can count on you, our volunteers! Save up all your stuff, because we're most likely going to do this again next year!
Adoption Updates
One of our happy adoptive pairs Here is the news we are probably most proud of: since our formation in October of 2006, with the help of all our volunteers and foster homes, we have helped 330 dogs and 405 cats!  In just 8 months! Thanks to those who foster, those who volunteer their time and those who adopt instead of buying from pet shops and breeders.  Together, we really can make a difference.

We Need Cat Toys!
We need cat toys!
Since most of our foster cats are caged most of the time, we like to provide them with a few toys to keep them entertained.  We can't reuse most of these toys because we don't want to spread germs. So we always need a new supply of cat toys!  Balls and toys that are hard and make sounds (with bells inside, for example) are the best. If you can help us with cat toys, let us know!
