Update on the Marathon and Half-Marathon Training Clinic
Upcoming Events

Greetings!

The organizational meeting for SPRR's Marathon and Half-Marathon Training Clinic took place in February and training began in March. I thought you may want to know how the hard work is paying off for the participants. It may even encourage you to join the group; it's not too late!

Sincerely,

Participants of the SPRR Marathon and Half-Marathon Training Clinic began their program in early March, and they are about 6 weeks into the program. To judge the progress of the training, most participants competed in local 5Ks this weekend, and the results are posted below. It appears that the training is already starting to pay off for them. After you see the results, you may start wishing that you had signed up for the training program. Well, it's not too late! Information on the training program and contact information is also included in this update.

Marathon and Half-Marathon Traing Clinic
The SPRR Marathon and Half-Marathon Training Clinic is under way, but you can still sign up!  Clinic participants will be running the Marathon and Half Marathon of the Palm Beaches, which is scheduled for December 7, 2008.  If you are interested, please contact Ben Fudge at bfudge62@earthlink.net.

Clinic Benefits

1. Personalized training program for each participant. Each runner's training program will be developed based on that runner's individual goals and abilities. We will NOT be using a generalized training program from a web site, book, or magazine.

2. Organized group runs and speed work sessions.

3. The support you need to achieve your race goal.

This will also be a great opportunity for you to meet people with similar interest and that share a common love for the sport of running.
