Looking to get more involved with Lake View Citizens' Council (LVCC)?  It's that time of year to think about LVCC's Annual Meeting and elections tentatively scheduled for Thursday, May 20th.

 

Per the LVCC By-Laws, at the LVCC Annual Meeting in May, we will elect a President for a one-year term and five (5) Directors-at-large from the community for a two-year term.

 

To qualify to run for either position, you must be a member in good standing and have paid your 2009-'10 LVCC dues.  Nominations will be made by the Nominating Committee not less than 49 days prior to the meeting (this week).

 

Are you interested in getting more involved? If so, we want to hear from you by reply email no later than next Wednesday, March 31st.  Provide us a quick bio and your complete contact information.  If elected, Directors are expected to attend the LVCC Board meetings held the first Thursday of each month at 7PM in a different part of Lake View each month.  Directors are also expected to volunteer on the various committees to help with fundraising, public forums, neighborhood clean-up and beautification, and other civic matters that arise.

 

The LVCC Board is also made up of representatives from the 10 branches (each elected or appointed via the branch meeting process) and representatives of various community businesses and institutional members.
