Greetings!

As a reminder, this Tuesday is the primary election for city, county, state and federal elected positions. The polls will be open 6AM to 7PM. For Triangle residents, you should vote at either: Hattie Callner Apts, 1st Floor, 855 W Aldine (southern part of Triangle) or Lake View Lutheran Church, 1st Floor, 835 W Addison (northern part of Triangle).  More Details.

There's no Triangle meeting this month (next one is March 10th) but there are now monthly CAPS Beat 2331 meetings with the next one this Wednesday, February 3rd at 7PM.  The new location for CAPS 2331 meetings is at the Center on Halsted (3656 N Halsted).

Finally, property tax bills for 2009 were recently mailed out and are due on March 2nd.  You'll note there was a change this year and property owners must remit 55% of last year's bill (instead of 50%) in the first half of the year.  Read below on how you can learn how to appeal your assessment.
Community Safety: Survey Results

Thanks to everyone who participated in the recent survey on crime and safety in Lake View.  Triangle Neighbors has been working with the 23rd Police District, the 44th Ward Aldermanic Offices, and the Northalsted Business Alliance to better understand what your concerns are and how we should prioritize our efforts to prepare for spring and summer.  See the summary of the survey results.

As a reminder, CAPS 2331 now meets every month on the first Wednesday at 7PM at the Center on Halsted.  If you have any questions, please contact the 23rd District CAPS Office at (312) 744-0064 or Alderman Tunney's office.
