Benchmade Knife Company and Harley- Davidson Bonds Blades and Bikers.
Oregon City, Ore., October 23, 2007? The longstanding relationship between blades and bikers is almost as branded as the 105-year-old backyard start-up company we have come to know, as Harley-Davidson. Just mention the name to a rider, and no longer will the conversation be about a motorcycle?but a standard of excellence, and a trail of dust. Benchmade Knife Company understands and shares this bond in the knife industry and is proud to announce an official license agreement with Harley-Davidson.
On a recent visit to Harley-Davidson?s Headquarters in Milwaukee, WI. Benchmade?s director of sales and marketing, Doug Pettis claimed it to be ?the greatest place on earth.?
Benchmade Knife Company?s Harley-Davidson Knife Line will be initially sold to the Harley-Davidson dealer network. After dealership distribution, Benchmade will be authorized to sell the Harley-Davidson Knife Line to premium Benchmade dealers.
?As a Harley owner and enthusiast, I consider the partnership between Benchmade and Harley-Davidson a dream come true,? states Diane Raposo, Benchmade?s Harley-Davidson coordinator. ?Both companies share a passion for providing their customers with innovative, world-class products along with top notch products.?
Benchmade Knife Company will introduce the Harley-Davidson Knife line at the Harley-Davidson winter dealer meeting January 2008. The knives will be divided into 3 classes: Classic, Chrome and Custom. With the exception of a money clip, products will be 100 percent USA made. Benchmade will also launch and maintain www.harley-davidsonknives.com (coming soon!) to assist with the expected demand of this product line.
