California Statewide Fingerprint Imaging System |
The California Statewide Fingerprint Imaging System (SFIS) is using the VRmagic USB camera to take photos of the clients and tie the photo to the fingerprint data base.
The Statewide Fingerprint Imaging System was developed by the Office of Systems Integration (OSI) in conjunction with the California Department of Social Services (CDSS). The system applies state-of-the-art fingerprint imaging technology to eliminate duplicate aid in the State's public assistance programs. The state selected Electronic Data Systems (EDS), now part of HP, to implement the system. EDS/HP selected Digital Network Vision to supply VRmagic's VRmc3+ USB cameras.
