A fresh start on 365 days of celebrating life! What will 2012 bring our way? your way? my way? We have no idea of how this year will turn out as we reflect on it in a year but from the perspective of today it is filled with potential. Every hour, every day, every week, every year, every decade, holds promise as we sit at its initial few days. Resolutions abound for better health, more exercise, weight loss, a new job, new programs, deeper relationships with those nearest in our lives. Perhaps it is also time to trim off those places where commitments are no longer as strong or deep as they once were. Is it time to embrace our changing personal priorities? Is it time to find some inner peace and assurance that what I am doing in my life is in line with my deepest held desires and calling?
Yes, I believe, it is all of those things.
We as a community continue to look back at our transition in 2011 to being an independent progressive spiritual community. As we enter 2012 it is time for us to re-assess our priorities and commitment as individuals and as a community. Are you doing the work in the community that you are most passionate about? Is it time to reassess where your passion lies?
One of the steps in doing this reflective work is the reconvening of the Transition Team on Sunday, January 29, at noon at Dave and Scott's home. We will reflect on the work of the teams this past year and work toward recommendations to the Board for priorities in 2012. All Companions are welcome to attend that meeting. Because we are planning on sharing a meal during this meeting, please email me know at SchwandtW@aol.com. |
