NOTES FROM YOUR MEMBERSHIP & GROWTH TEAM

Membership and Growth Team meeting - Our next meeting is being held on Thursday, October 27 at 7 PM at Dave and Scott's home. Come join us and share your ideas for how to increase the numbers that participate in our spiritual journey at EVOLVE Chesapeake! Prior experience not required, just bring your ideas and willingness to follow through and lend a hand.
Join some of our team for Connect with Your Neighbors, a half day conference hosted by the Lewis Center on Saturday, November 5. This intriguing conference will have suggestions and workshops designed to help spiritual communities spread their word. The conference is being held in Washington DC and there will be the possibility of car pooling from Annapolis (details to be determined). The cost is $35 with early registration or $50 with regular registration. Questions? Please speak with Suzie Robertson.
Facebook Fan Appreciation Night - We are encouraging all of our Companions, guests and friends to create Facebook posts that invite their friends to "Like" EVOLVE Chesapeake on Facebook. On Sunday, November 20 at 4:30 we are inviting all the fans that have "Liked" EVOLVE to join us for our spiritual gathering and for "Fan Appreciation Night". We will be making little give-away gifts for our guests, and are preparing a basket of homemade items that are from our Companions, which will be awarded to one of our visiting fans in the near future. Join the fun in preparing for this event or join us for the spiritual gathering on November 20! If you are interested in helping please speak to Kim Hinken regarding the give-aways, or John Petrosillo for help with your Facebook posting or Dave Miller or any of the MGT for further information.
We have a number of other endeavors underway, including inviting guest speakers to our spiritual gatherings, establishing a Meet-up account to regularly share our events and compiling the results of our Companion Questionnaire regarding service projects for the community that we will be undertaking. Please share your ideas, or join us at any of these events to learn more! |

Open Arms
Want to be with a small group of Companions? get to one them better? have a fun evening of talk, food and discussion? Our Open Arms group for Anne Arundel might be THE place for you.
Open Arms Anne Arundel will meet on Tuesday evening, October 25, at Kim and Adri's home in Edgewater. We gather at 6:30 PM.
We will continue our discussion based on "Eclipsing the Empire" by focusing this week on the Letters of Paul, which take up one half of the Christian Scriptures in the Bible and ask the question, "Is Paul and appealing or appalling apostle?"
