Ash Wednesday

March 9 @ 7:30 PM

"Why would a progressive, creation spirituality centered community have an Ash Wednesday service?"

Denying the awe and wonder of creation, being attached to things and ideas, denying our creativity, failing to be actively involved in the building of the New Creation -- are all ways of talking about sin in Creation Spirituality.  Ash Wednesday, the traditional beginning of Lent, marks the beginning of our season of Via Negativa:  the path of letting go and emptying.  This quarter we will explore our journey in the Divine through darkness, emptying, and letting go in Community.

Those who attend the Ash Wednesday service will be invited to a holy journey through ritual, darkness, and song.  Come and join in the journey.
