 Music Go Round® is proud to introduce the November B.O.M., Alexx Calise from Los Angeles! "Throw your words at me, I'll have my way with them," mocks young and sharp-tongued singer, guitarist and songwriter, Alexx Calise. Currently, Calise is creating the follow-up to her 2007 critically-acclaimed debut album, Morning Pill, writing for her indie musician's advice column for the L2P Network and GHS Guitar Strings E-Newsletter, and touring with the P.A.C.E. Program, which provides entertainment to children in various LA County schools. Calise is also the other half of "Sound of Cancer," her new music project with accomplished drummer/songwriter, Dennis Morehouse. |

Greetings!
 Welcome to our fifth Band of the Month newsletter! Your chance to get in touch with the local scene, and support bands competing in our National Band of the Month Contest.
We've had so many winners over the summer, and so many bands from our area make it to the semi-finals that we figure that it's time to take this to the next level. We're putting on shows!!!
The first Show of the Month is happening this Friday at Club Garibaldi's. We've partnered with 88nine to help get the word out, so show them some love by tuning in. If you're already a fan, become a sustaining member of the station!
This series of shows will feature an eclectic mix of bands, playing for just the right amount of time, at a level that shouldn't make your ears bleed. The perfect way to go check out a band you're not familiar with.
The show starts promptly at 9... so no excuses, no matter how many pumpkin pies you eat on Thanksgiving.

Show of the Month
We're starting the series off with a three bands and a noise maker!
We will be covering a lot of sonic territory with this first event... to start, we have a retro garage style band who's anthem threatens to cut you! With an actual knife.
After that a band that is keeping the three minute sing along song alive and well, but with a punk and rock edge.
To close out the show, we have a band whose heart is in the tiny town of Lost Springs, Wyoming, but who are for some unexplainable reason living in Milwaukee.
To top it all off, we'll have a local musician booking himself as Background Drone. He'll be providing ambient sonic soundscapes between sets with a myriad of pedals and effects.
