ONE of these five bands will win this "once in a lifetime" opportunity to fly to Quebec, Canada in September 2011 to participate in Envol et Macadam Alternative Music festival. This festival has been running for over 15 years and in 2011, some of the headlining acts including Rise Against and Flogging Molly.

With its convenient location on the ground floor plus a great outdoor area, Xperience are bringing you live music events under the umbrella of "Xperience Live!" where the best bands from Hong Kong come and perform for you on every third Saturday of the month. It's always free entry and always great fun.
The next show in July will feature some of the most FUN bands in Hong Kong - from Karat with tteir funky grooves, Aminos Shower's Brit Pop likeableness, to post-futuresque Logo and the brilliant band The Sleeeves headlining with their arcade rock. Phew! We just got sweaty typing that out...! |

James Blunt in HK! |  | |
For those of you who are into the lighter side of live music, we see that Mr. James Blunt is coming to town on 7th August and performing at the AsiaWorld-Arena. This is the man who wrote the hit singles High and Goodbye My Lover and of course, "You're Beautiful" His third studio album Some Kind of Trouble was released in 2010 . Key tracks include the bittersweet These are the Words, the trenchant Superstar and the infectious Stay the Night.
Blunt will be in town for one night only. Tickets are available through
HK Ticketing and Tom Lee Music Stores and on sale now.

Here at The Underground we're super duper excited that Paramore are coming to Hong Kong!! This amazing Pop punk rock band fronted by Hayley Williams is a MUST see this summer! Formed in 2004, their albums have sold millions, they've been nominated for "Best New Artist" at the Grammys (2008) and this is the first time they are appearing in Hong Kong!

In July, we have two shows that are going to excite you so so much!
First off on 23rd July we're hosting our "Girls with Guitars 4" show at a new venue (for us!), thanks to The Live House in Mong kok for a Saturday night explosion of music. That night the show will also be filmed by HKHQ TV who will be making a little documentary on The Underground. We'll also have some surprises too. Keep checking out our website to see whose playing.
Then on 29th July, we're stomping back to Backstage (!) for Heavy 6, at which those death metallers ORTHON will be headlining. Come if you're dangerous and love live heavy music!

Well for over seven years, at all our events, we've had reviewers come and watch the bands perform and then write their honest reviews. Some reviews are better
than others, some longer than others but all honest.
