Two Preliminary Heats @ The Wanch (G/F., 54 Jaffe Rd., Wanchai):
- July 5
- July 12
Heats will start at 9pm and run till 1am. A maximum of 8 bands can sign up for each heat and each band will have 15 minutes to perform at the heats. The three top scoring bands from each heat will go forward to the final.
The Bud Rocks Midi Band Competition Hong Kong final will be held on July 15th at Backstage, Wellington St. Central. The final will start at 10pm and end at 1am. Each finalist band will have 20 minutes to perform.

預賽＠The Wanch（灣仔謝斐道54號地下）

預賽將於晚上9時開始至凌晨1時。每場預賽將有最多8支樂隊參加，每隊均有15分鐘作表演，每場預賽中獲最高分數的3支樂隊會打入決賽。
香港決賽會在7月15日晚上10時至凌晨1時於Backstage（中環威靈頓街）舉行。每支決賽隊伍將有20分鐘作演出。
Voting and Judging:
At the heats, bands will be judged by a panel of industry professionals on originality, stage presence and musicianship. At the Hong Kong final on July 15th, the audience will count for 50% of the votes and the judges will count for 50% of the votes.
Entry Rules:
- Max 6 persons per band
- At least one member of the band must be between 18 to 25 years old.
- Original music, any genre is acceptable. Any language is acceptable.
- Ability to play in Mainland China:
o Visa has never been refused to enter the PRC.
o No lyrics that might be found offensive by the PRC.
Prize: An all expenses paid trip (return air fare & accommodation) to participate in the China final, which will take place at the Changjiang Midi Music Festival between October 1st and 4th 2011.
投票及評判
預賽中，由業界專業人士所組成的評判團會根據樂隊的原創性、表現力及音樂造詣作評分。於7月15日的決賽，現場觀眾的投票將佔總分的一半，而評判團的比分將佔另一半。
比賽規則：
每支樂隊最多有6位成員
所有樂隊成員須年滿18歲
當中最少有一位成員為18至25歲
比賽曲目須為原創作品，任何類型、任何語言的音樂均可
樂隊須可於中國大陸表演：
- 成員的簽證須從未被拒絕入境中國大陸
- 比賽曲目的歌詞不可對中國政府有冒犯
獎品：
免費於2011年10月1日至4日參與長江迷笛音樂節及演出，包來回機票及住宿。
