In Hong Kong, two of the bands on CD4 -

will be selling this CD4 at their upcoming gigs.

By the end of May, we will have the CD (entitled "Come On...Blaze Ahead..!") in HMV and other select music shops around town.

香港的朋友, 兩支出現於CD4的樂隊 - Dark Himaya及 Corey Tam - 均會於他們快將上演的音樂會中售賣 CD4。
此外, 該名為「Come On...Blaze Ahead..!」的 CD4亦會由五月底開始在 HMV及其他指定零售店舖發售。 

This year The Underground is involved in a variety of different opportunities for bands, there's Planetrox happening (the 10 semi-finalists bands were chosen by Quebec's festival  music panel last week), soon we'll be watching videos from Retox'D, BLAK, Noughts and Exes, Purple Eye, The3Think, Papancha, Shotgun Politics, eli, Soundproof and Carpet plus Ex-Dreamer.  

It will be interesting to see which five bands will be the five finalists who will be performing at PlanetRox China Final 2011 on 9^th July at Backstage.  One lucky band will win return flights, hotel accommodation and a performance slot at Envol et Macadam alternative music festival in Quebec.  This year headlining acts include Rise Against and Flogging Molly.  What an experience that will be.   Look out for more details in our next newsletter!

Then there's also "Bud Rocks - midi band competition" coming up where a Hong Kong band (with at least one member under 21 years old) can win an all expenses paid trip to perform at Rizhao (China) during the Ocean Midi Festival between 4th and 7th August 2011.  Midi Festival organizers have been organizing festivals in China for over 10 years and are now recognizing that there are some exciting bands in Hong Kong that deserve their support.   The heats will be at The Wanch starting end-June, we'll have more details in next newsletter.
