Last Saturday we had the first of our CD3 release parties and it was a blast!

Now this Saturday will be our second release party with the remaining bands to perform that include

There are 12 bands on the CD, each band recorded two tracks at Mark 1 Music Centre which were then lovingly mixed and mastered and now we have 24 songs bursting to be listened to.
合輯3名為"Life After Roots - Rock Beyond"，以雙CD形式發行，收錄 12 隊本地樂隊各兩首歌共 24 首歌，附有16頁樂隊詳盡介紹，由Mark 1 Music Centre混音與錄製。

CD3 An Oral History All 12 bands were interviewed by our own Shashwati and we have the FULL interview online here  Next week we'll have the Chinese translation too!

Excerpts:

Amino Shower: The sum of all parameters: many people like them + easy lyric phrases for memorizing + easy melody to sing-along + mother-tongued language + short attention and forgetful HK people.  You can predict what kind of band we are actually...hahaha.

Uranus: What practice? What rehearsal? Did the other bands practice? Bugger!

Logo: It feels good when you are selected to be part of something and The Underground is an important musical archive.

Killer Soap:I believe having an album and sharing music with other people is the dream of all musicians. From time to time, people come ask us when are we gonna release our own album. We really do not have time to sit down and record a proper demo. Now, we can ask them to go buy CD#3!!

The Sleeves:If nothing else, we hope that our inclusion on this CD will encourage Hong Kong's youth to put down their physics books, calculators and slide rules and say: 'Sh*t, if those old bastards can play and write songs then so can we !!'

Well for over six years, at all our events, we've had different reviewers come and watch the bands perform and then write their honest reviews.  Some reviews are better than others, some longer than others but all honest.   They will help you get a better feel about the bands and their live performances.

Radiodada's Hong Kong indie bands interview radio programme "Underground Battlefield"
"Underground Battlefield" is a two hour programme on Hong Kong's indie bands. Each week, a band is invited to the programme for a chat. The show also plays music by Hong Kong indie bands, and report on live performances as well as publishing materials by the bands.

Every Saturday at 3pm.

Radiodada is a web radio that focuses on creative and sub-culture. Program topics include advertising, creative, music, reading, food, diving, etc. Each show is recorded and aired live, and on-demand playback is also available on the web site.
