June 2009
Que Pasa in Oaxaca, Mexico
- June means end of school for some and a month of advanced studies for others.  Thirty five pastors from throughout Mexico have come to Oaxaca to dedicate this month to additional learning.

 - With guests from Monterrey, we studied indigenous Mexican groups and their languages, visiting a translation base and a recording studio.

- A 24 hr. whirlwind trip to Mexico City and back to finalize resident visa's.  Sleeping on the midnight bus is the way to travel through the Sierra Sur!

- Jalisco, Mexico new church plant: Mike flew there to aid a construction team placing the structural beams.

We Thank God for...

  • Bible translations produced in indigenous languages
  • the twenty-two leaders chosen to spearhead ministry to the various ethnic groups in Mexico
  • the Institute graduates who feel directed to plant churches among various people groups of Mexico
  • faithful churches and supporters
We Pray...
  • to adequately demonstrate our faith to Indian cultures
  • to resist schemes of the enemy
  • for safety as we travel the 1,000 miles to the border
  • for our sons as they work and minister this summer
  • for Ilona's writing and her need for a new computer (she's praying for a MacBook)
