Green Wine Competition

An all-star panel of 16 leaders in organic and biodynamic© wines gave medals to three of our fine organic wines in the first ever International Green Wine Competition™.

Our wines from Giancarlo Ceci's Agrinatura and La Cantina Pizzolato competed against 271 wines entered from 6 states and 10 foreign nations to win bronze medals. Our award-winning wines include the Agrinatura 100% Chardonnay which won a bronze medal, competing against all chardonnays from the United States and other parts of the world. Also earning a bronze medal were La Cantina Pizzolato's Prosecco Veneto and Stefany Extra Dry, which competed against all sparkling wines from across the globe.

All winning wines create the first Consumer's Green Wine Shopping List™ that green-minded consumers can take to their favorite wine store and know that these wines are not only green, but great. The Consumer's Green Wine Shopping List™ may be downloaded free at www.greenwinecomp.info
.

All of these fine wines are available for North American distribution.

VERTVS Label

We are very pleased and honored to have our VERTVS (pronounced VEER-TOOS) Tempranillo Crianza listed as the only USDA NOP Organic Certified wine mentioned in the 2008 Wines From Spain-Far from Ordinary Wine Guide (free copy available here).

Master of Wine and Master Sommelier Doug Frost gives his thoughts on this cask aged Crianza from Spain's Oldest Estate Bottled Winery with insightful Tasting Notes.

"This wine has a layered and vibrant nose of red cranberry, red raspberry, heat, cooked cherries and raisins.  In the mouth many of the same flavors are present: raisin pie, cooked cranberries, blueberry hints.  The finish seems rather soft, but then Tempranillo's typical tannins get a little grippy. It's ready now but wants savory and even rich foods." - Doug Frost, MS, MW

Interesting three minute video from CNN.com. Take a look at how earth-friendly wine is made, and why bio vino is all the rage.

Why Does Wine Give a Hangover?
Also when a few people I have advised drink organic wine or shift to better quality wines, the problem seems to be alleviated to quite an extent.
