Greetings!

As summer draws to a close, these fishing nets remind me of hammocks--so one of my popular posts this month was on "hammock time" -- ways to coach writers to refresh, rest and renew themselves, as part of my "weekly writing coach" series. A little break from the writing (or any other) routine will rev you up and help you net better results later.

I'm revved up about two exciting ventures that kick off in September:  I'll start the 15 weeks of online coaching for Stephanie Benoit, the winner of The Eloquent Woman's Step Up Your Speaking contest, and I'll be working on the Step Up Your Speaking workbook, available after the coaching ends later this year.  And I'm leading a social media communications workshop for the Society for Marketing Professional Services, focusing on social media options for marketers working in architecture, engineering and construction, on September 28 here in Washington.

Please feel free to contact me about your needs for strategies, training or content in communications or social media, at info@dontgetcaught.biz.

Sincerely,
President

New Series Explores New Approaches to Fit Tomorrow's Needs
In a new series on the don't get caught news & info blog, jumper cablesI'm examining ways communications teams may want to reboot everything from their office space and equipment to how prepared they are for what I call "nexternal relations" -- ready to handle today's external audiences, but poised for what comes next. The series looks at how communications roles and job descriptions may change; how leaders can inspire their teams to change, and great ideas to steal from, of all places, traditional media.  Let me know your questions or ideas for the series, which continues this fall.
