Greetings!
In June, don't get caught began its sixth year in business. I marked the occasion by updating the dgc website to better reflect my current services and wonderful clients. And I launched a new presence on Facebook for the Eloquent Woman, and a new contest (see more below). Don't get caught without entering yourself or a colleague for free speaker coaching!
Guiding companies on how to get into social media continues to shape my work. In June, I keynoted a VOX Global/AT&T briefing for the telecommunications company's nonprofit constituents on ways to use social media to advance advocacy, causes and fundraising. Up next: I'll be speaking to the July 20 executive board retreat of the Montgomery County, Maryland, Chamber of Commerce on strategic business uses for social media.
You'll also find me in New York City at the end of the month--please email me at info@dontgetcaught.biz so we can schedule time to meet!
Sincerely,
President |
15 Weeks to Step Up Your Speaking
Enter The Eloquent Woman's New Contest for Free Coaching |
Want to get going fast as a beginning speaker--or move to the next level? Enter The Eloquent Woman blog's new contest, 15 Weeks to Step Up Your Speaking, and you'll get coaching online on the blog--plus a custom-designed Flip Mino HD camcorder (shown in photo) to make it easy for you to submit questions, progress and practice online. To enter, you just need to submit a short video and an even shorter essay explaining your top 3 priorities for improving your speaking -- our coaching will include those and more -- by midnight ET July 31, 2009.
Not able to enter? Then please pass the information on to women colleagues who might benefit. (Communications directors, now's the time to sign up that expert, volunteer, leader or other would-be spokesperson for some good skills-building!) We'll select a winner in August and coaching will start in September. I'm looking forward to seeing and sharing the entries and winner with you. |
