I saw a funny bumper sticker the other day it said Born Again Pagan. I love that! I can so identify with Pagans. I love and honor the Earth and truly value and appreciate the four elements. Where would we be without them? Dead that's where! We wouldn't last three minutes without air and three days without water. What a different reality we would all have if we didn't have running water. If we have running water we are truly blessed!
We need the four elements to exist and if you look at your Astrology Chart and your Ayurveda Constitution the four elements show up in those ancient languages as well as Feng Shui, Wiccan and Pagan traditions. The four elements are crucial to our human survival so we should honor them! I honor the elements in both my home and altar space. It's my way of showing respect and keeping the elemental energy in balance.
How you ask? I usually have a (water) feature like a fountain, water bowl or fish tank, with candles or incense (fire), fresh plants or flowers (earth), and open my doors and windows, chimes or feathers for (air). It helps to keep me mindful and grateful on what's really important in life. Hope it does you too.
