Greetings!
Salt lamp, sage and incense check! We are taking only the essentials. We are spending the summer in a temporary rental while we close escrow and renovate our new home. It's liberating to live with less stuff. Putting the majority of our possessions in storage, we only have what we need for daily living. It's like being on a three month vacation; less to clean, maintain and be distracted by. I find we are actually connecting more, playing cards and watching our one tv together as a family.
What makes any place feel like home to me is my Karma Essentials. I always smudge a place before moving in. Boy, did this place need it. The energy in the rental from the previous tenants felt chaotic and high strung. I heard from neighbors that they were. Smudging a space before you move in is very important. It is a form of psychic housekeeping and will rid the space of negative psychic residue. Afterwords, I place the things that will bring in the good vibes like my salt lamps, plants and Feng Shui crystals. Finally, I'll burn incense to positively charge and set the peaceful vibe in the space.
Having these things make me feel comfortable, connected and relaxed no matter where I am. The essentials make me feel content and consistent even when my living situation is not.
Maybe some of you are like that. When you travel, do you have to take your pillow or favorite blanket? Maybe a candle or photo of your loved ones? It is important to have the things with you that make you feel grounded, safe and loved no matter where you are. If this describes how you are in the world, you are not odd. You are psychic sensitive or, in other words, sensitive to the space and environment around you.
Speaking of sensitive, remember to bring pets inside for the Fourth of July. The fireworks and loud celebrating can really scare those sensitive creatures!
